When it comes to Soft Reflectors, the thickness of the product can vary depending on the materials used. Our Soft Reflectors are made from reflective PVC and filled with either reflective foam or sponge, each offering a different look and feel.
For reflectors filled with sponge, the product tends to have a more inflated or puffed-up appearance. This makes it relatively thicker, typically around 5 millimeters. The sponge filling gives the Soft Reflector a slightly bulkier look, making it appear more “rounded” in design.
On the other hand, reflectors made with reflective foam are noticeably slimmer. The thickness of these foam-filled reflectors usually measures around 2 millimeters, resulting in a more streamlined and thin appearance. The contrast in thickness between the sponge and foam versions is quite noticeable, making one seem “fat” while the other appears “thin.”
To better illustrate this, I shared a video below demonstrating the difference in thickness between the two Soft Reflector types.
